After getting all the animals settled and the garden prepped for the freeze, we got on the road. We stopped at the best little restaurant, The Smokehouse Patio Grill, in Monteagle, TN. It was open mic and there was a great band of older men and a duo. They had cornhole and Connect 4 outside to play. The food was delicious and we had chili cheese pork rinds which were fantastic!
We rented a house in Mineral Bluff, GA through VRBO. It has board games, a heated pool, and hot tub. It's a split level house and Jimmie and I are on the top floor and there is a girl room and a boy room on the bottom floor. The downtown area of McCaysville is 3 minutes away and has a great little IGA, lots of restaurants and cute shops. Pictured below is the take out we got from the Cuban restaurant in town. The girls have swam and gotten in the hot tub, but I think they are really just enjoying the break. I've been trying to catch up on computer work, so Jimmie is getting to spend some well needed time with the boys. They have went swimming at least twice everyday. It's nice to see them having fun with Jimmie. And just to make it clear, there is a basketball goal in the pool and I remain undefeated :)
